MARYLAND HQL TRAINING CLASS
The HQL course is 4 hours in class, an introduction to shooting at the range, and also requires a filing fee as well as fingerprints. The HQL is good for 10 years. If you decide to undergo training, the best deal is to take the CCW class, because then you do not need to take a separate HQL course, you don’t need to get fingerprints for the HQL as you would if you took the HQL separately, and the HQL filing fee is waived.
Filing fees for both the CCW and HQL are increasing in October so get your training in now!
Fees:
HQL Course: $150.00
Range fee: $50.00
State Police application: $50.00
State Police renewal application: $20.00
Fingerprints: about $50.00-$60.00
The class will provide instruction on filing your application and finding fingerprinting locations.
Basic pistol instruction: $100/hour. Includes ammo and range fees
