MARYLAND CCW TRAINING CLASS
The CCW is a 16-hour course, mostly in-class, with a portion taken at the shooting range where you must obtain a minimum passing score of 70%. The CCW also requires a separate application fee and fingerprints. CCW renewals require 8 hours of instruction and the same minimum shooting score of 70%. The CCW is good for two years. The renewal is good for 3 years. When you go to renew, be sure to apply 90 days before your permit expires!
Filing fees for both the CCW and HQL are increasing in October so get your training in now!
Fees:
CCW Course: $300.00
CCW Renewal Course: $150.00
Range Fees (including ammunition): $75.00
State Police application: $75.00
State Police renewal application: $50.00
Fingerprints/photo: about $50.00-$60.00
The training site will assist you with filing your application, fingerprinting and photo.
Basic pistol instruction: $100/hour. Includes ammo and range fees
